Interphex 2023 Recap

Widely recognized as the pinnacle of annual conferences for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, Interphex 2023 brought spring to New York City roaring like a lion.

The three-day event filled the Javits Center with thousands of attendees ranging from R&D scientists at global public companies to CEOs of startups. They all had one thing in common – they were in pursuit of innovative solutions to move the pharma industry forward.

While this event was predominantly pharma-focused, many attendees also expressed interest in containment and processing solutions for emerging cell and gene therapies. The Savillex booth was well-prepared to address the diversity of attendee needs. Containers, such as bottles and vials, are a consistent part of the consumable supply chain for pharma and biotech companies. However, as drugs and therapies get more sophisticated and valuable the need for the right container is required. Savillex’s Purillex^® bottles, jars, and vials were on full display and captured the attention of attendees recognizing the need to consider a high-quality plastic container.

Also on display at the Savillex booth, was our latest product offering – The HELIX Oscillating Biomixer^®. In partnership with Lifecycle Biotechnologies, Savillex brought this innovative and patented mixing system to showcase its versatility and unique design. So unique, in fact, that hundreds of attendees passing the booth could not help but stop to observe the mesmerizing mixer in action! None of them had ever seen a mixing system that eliminates the need for stir bars, magnets, or impellers. Attendees also liked simple design and the broad range of applications for the mixer. Whether they were looking for a mixing solution for low-shear, sensitive cellular work, or difficult powder, they recognized that the HELIX Oscillating Biomixer was an innovative piece of equipment that addressed their challenges.

As the show came to a close on Thursday, there were still attendees walking the aisles trying to make the most of the final minutes of Interphex 2023. The energy throughout the week was a sign of the industry’s dedication to advancing life-changing drugs and therapies. The Savillex team enjoyed seeing customers, distributors, and industry partners alike.
